It's official. Martin Freeman is playing Bilbo Baggins in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit!
Since I've been wanting this to happen for a few years now, I'm ecstatic about this. I know a ton of other people had the same idea, but it makes me feel like I have real talent as a casting director considering the fact that I had this idea by myself and then it really came true. Peter Jackson said that Martin Freeman was the only person he ever wanted to play Bilbo in this movie, saying that Freeman "was born to play" Bilbo. I'm so excited.
