Best News Ever: Bilbo Baggins as played by Martin Freeman

It's official. Martin Freeman is playing Bilbo Baggins in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit!

Since I've been wanting this to happen for a few years now, I'm ecstatic about this. I know a ton of other people had the same idea, but it makes me feel like I have real talent as a casting director considering the fact that I had this idea by myself and then it really came true. Peter Jackson said that Martin Freeman was the only person he ever wanted to play Bilbo in this movie, saying that Freeman "was born to play" Bilbo. I'm so excited.

Back in 2008 when Guillermo del Toro was hired to direct the new adaptation of The Hobbit, I thought Martin Freeman would make a perfect Bilbo Baggins. I didn't expect it to actually happen, but now there are rumors that he is being sought after for the role. You have no idea how much I want this to happen.

The Social Network: A Dream?

I've known for a while now that David Fincher was making The Social Network, a movie about the creation of Facebook, and that Justin Timberlake would play a main character in it. I just found out today though that Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are doing the score for the movie.

How is this not one of those weird dreams I have from time to time?

It seems like all of that information should be preceded by the phrase "Last night I had a dream where..."

"Last night I had a dream where David Fincher was making a movie about Facebook, and Justin Timberlake was in it, and Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross were composing the film score."

Doesn't it make more sense that way?

I really want to see this movie.
